Two nationally ranked teams clashed at the Clark Racquet Center at Coe College this afternoon. Luther ranked No. 48 defeated No. 52 Coe by a final of 4-3. The win gives Luther an American Rivers Conference record of 7-0 and secured at least a share of the 2026 regular season championship. The Norse can win the title outright with a victory at Wartburg College on Wednesday, April 22.
The Norse fell behind 1-0 after losing all three doubles matches. They responded by winning four of the six singles matches with three of the four wins secured in a third set tie breaker.
Joao Benvenutti defeated Anthony Schulte at No. 1 (2-6, 6-2, 10-8).
Juan Hernandez Herrera defeated Joshua Tieman (6-1, 6-7(6-8), 7-5 at No. 2.
Gerardo Ramirez Mainou defeated Daniel Rohlman (3-6, 7-5, 6-4) at No. 4.
Abhay Chhabra won in straight sets at No. 3 over Bryton Short (7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
