DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Luther College softball team defeated the University of Dubuque twice by a score of 10-2 in six innings. The Norse offense recorded 23 hits in the doubleheader. Luther improves to 11-7 overall and 2-0 in conference action.
Game 1: Luther 10, Dubuque 2 (6 innings)
Trailing by two after first inning Luther plated six runs on five hits to overtake the lead. A pair of runs were added in the third and sixth innings.
Raven Allen went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two rbi and 1 run.
Madi Urfer led the team with three rbi and one run as she went 2-for-3.

Mya Larsen each tallied an rbi.
Alexa Stevermer won her fifth game of the year in the circle. She allowed four hits and two runs with four strikeouts in 25 batters faced.
Game 2: Luther 10, Dubuque 2 (6 innings)
Through four complete innings, Luther held a 3-1 lead. Then in the fifth, the Norse offense scored five runs on four hits extending the advantage. An inning later, Luther invoked the run rule for a second time scoring two runs to pick up the series sweep.
Larsen was 3-4 while Elwood and Nehring both went 2-3. Allen recorded four runs and
Rose Weber led the team with three rbi.
Isabelle Staton pitched 4.1 innings allowing eight hits, two runs, and two walks. She is now 6-4 on the season.
Dubuque falls to 13-9 overall and 0-2 in the A-R-C.
