DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther women's basketball team lost to Coe 89-56 in a midweek American Rivers Conference match-up. The Kohawks won the game behind a 59.6 field goal percentage (34-57) which also included shooting 65 percent from the three-point line (13-20). Coe outscored Luther in three of the four quarters.
The Kohawks led the following statistics rebounds (36-25), points in the paint (28-12), points off turnovers (18-13), assists (15-7), and steals (8-6). Coe's leading scorer was Caydee Kirkham with 31 points.
Luther was led by
Natalie Beaver with 25 points and eight rebounds.
Haylie Strum tallied 13 points.
Ellie McMann and
Katie Hardtke scored six points each.
The Norse are back in action one week from tonight at Loras on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. in Dubuque, Iowa.
