DECORAH, Iowa – The Luther women's basketball team lost to Buena Vista 78-64 in the final home game of the regular season. Haylie Strum led the team with 18 points as the Norse are no 12-11 overall and 8-6 in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C). At the conclusion of the game, Luther honored the 2026 senior class of Teagan Schaefer, Nastya Cicala, Katie Hardtke and Kenai Holien.
 
At halftime, the game was tied at 35. The Beavers had a strong second half outscoring the Norse 43-29. Buena Vista led the game in rebounds (40-24) and scored 40 points in the paint. For the game the Beavers shot 55.4 percent from the field while the Norse shot 39 percent.
 
The rebound leader for Luther was Ellie McMann with six.
 
Four players for Buena Vista scored double figures including Bradi Krager, Adeeya Yanga, Mary Walker and Tyme Boettcher.
 
This is the first time the Beavers have swept the regular season series since the 2013-14 season. Buena Vista is 14-10 overall and 8-6 in the conference.
 
Next Wednesday, Feb. 18 Luther travels to Dubuque, Iowa to take on the University of Dubuque at 5:30 p.m.
