The men's tennis team kicked off its American Rivers Conference schedule with a 7-0 victory over Loras College this afternoon in the Robert and Ann Naslund Sports and Recreation Center. The Norse won two of three doubles matches and swept singles en route to the victory. Luther is now 4-1 overall.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of
Abhay Chhabra and
Rhys Biro-Moore won a hard fought battle (7-6 (7-5).
Gerardo Ramirez Mainou and
Geoffrey Stoughton posted a (6-1) win at No. 3.Â
Five of the six singles wins were in straight sets, with
Gregor Gottein winning a third set tie-breaker at No. 4. Gottein defeated Dali Martens (6-1, 4-6, 12-10).
