DECORAH, Iowa - Sean Medcalfe and Allie Christensen have been named the September LetterWërks Athletes of the Month.

Sean Medcalfe has had an exceptional month being named the conference performer of the week three out of the four times in the month of September. This season he has punted 17 times for 718 yards. He averaged 42.2 yards a punt and five times went 50-yards or more. His longest punt in the month was at Millikin University on Sept. 12 which went 66-yards. Medcalfe also kicked off 19 times for 982 yards averaging 51.7. He also was 3-for-5 for field goals in Sept. with a long of 51-yards which tied his own school record from 2025.

Allie Christensen went 5-3 in singles matches which included going 2-2 in the Midwest Conference. In doubles she went 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference with Lena Lichau. The pair reached the quarterfinals in doubles at the ITA Regional Tournament held at Gustavus Adolphus College Sept. 25 through Sept. 26. 

The LetterWërks Athlete of the Month award looks to honor and highlight Luther student-athlete achievements throughout a given month of competition.
