Luther Men’s Tennis Claims Top Spot In A-R-C Preseason Poll

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) previewed the men's tennis season with the 2025-26 coaches' preseason poll with Luther picked first. The Norse received 63 points and seven first place votes.
 
During the 2024-25 season, Luther finished with a 21-6 overall record and perfect at 8-0 in the A-R-C. Earning a fifth straight regular season title and sixth straight tournament championship. The Norse also went to the NCAA national tournament for the sixth straight season.
 
Notable returners include all-conference honorees Abhay Chhabra and Joao Benvenutti. Along with honorable mention all-conference Juan Hernandez Herrera and Rhys Biro-Moore.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to compete in the American Rivers Conference one final time this season and look forward to continuing to grow as a team," added head coach Adam Strand.
 
The season starts on Saturday, Jan. 31 when Luther will take on Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in Sterling, Ill. at 12:30 p.m.
 
This is the final American Rivers Conference season for Luther as they will join the Midwest Conference this fall (2026-27).
