ST. PAUL, Minn. – Lucas Rojas scored his first career goal in the 74
th minute as the Luther men's soccer team defeated Macalester 1-0. Luther improves to 3-1 overall.
After a scoreless first half,
Lenny Lechner passed it to Rojas who with one touch fired the ball into the top right corner. Lechner would be credited with his first as assist of the season. Macalester did have some chances late with back-to-back corner kicks in the final two minutes but the Norse defense held strong.
The Scots led the shots category 11-9.
Aitor Lopez made three saves.
The next game for Luther will be on Friday, Sept. 12 at home against Gustavus Adolphus at 7 p.m.
