DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther women's soccer team remains unbeaten to start 2025 after a 1-1 draw with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Rose Anderson scored her second goal of the season in the 54th minute putting the Norse ahead 1-0. The Warhawks equalized in the 57th minute. The Norse are now 2-0-1 overall.

The goal for Luther came off the corner kick. Kate Van Deventer received the pass from Ava Stemler and chipped it in towards the middle of the box. Rose Anderson took one touch slotting it into the lower right corner of the net. Three minutes later the Warhawks answered on the free kick.

Both teams finished the night with eight shots. UW-Whitewater had five shots on goal compared to three by Luther. 

Elisabeth Queoff made four saves. Van Deventer recorded her second assist on the season.

The Warhawks are now 1-0-1 overall.

The Norse take the field again on Thursday, Sept. 4 for a game against Rockford University. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. in Rockford, Ill.
