Day Two Recap: Luther's season came to an end this afternoon following a 6-5 loss to Nebraska Wesleyan University in an elimination game of the A-R-C Baseball Tournament. The two teams were facing each other for the fifth time in seven days. The Norse had won the previous four games that included an opening round victory over the Prairie Wolves in game one of the tournament.
Luther never led in the game scoring its five runs on eight hits, but committed four errors that led to three unearned runs.
Noah Dutler and
Noah Pinette combined for four the Norse hits going 2-for-3 and 2-for-4 respectively. Both were credited with an rbi as was
Mark Prince.
Trailing (5-3) entering the bottom of the eighth,
Zach Gwost singled on a hard hit ball to third base. Prince followed with a double to right-center that scored Gwost. Three batters later, Dutler hit a two-out double down the first base line that scored Prince to level the game at (5-5).
In the top of the ninth, two walks set the stage for the Prairie Wolves first baseman Brady Bell, who hit a two-out single to left field, that scored what proved to be the game winner.

Luther completed its season with an overall record of 20-22.
Day One Recap: Luther, the No. 3 seed of the 2025 American Rivers Conference Baseball Tournament, finished day one with a record of 1-1. The Norse won their opener over the No. 6 seed Nebraska Wesleyan University (6-2) and were defeated by the No. 2 seed Coe College (7-2) in the final game of the evening.
Game 1 Recap: The Norse scored six runs on 11 hits and did all of their damage in the second and third frames.
Will Heithoff was 2-for-4 with 3 RBI to lead the attack.
Gavin Scurr was 1-for-3 with 2 RBI and
Noah Dutler was 2-for-4 with 1 RBI.
Kaleb Thiesse (6-2) went the distance on the mound. Thiesse allowed two runs on six hits, walked two and struck out six.

Game 2 Recap: The Norse took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second.
Mark Prince lead off with a double to left field and three batters later Dutler hit a two-out single to right that scored Prince.
The Kohawks tied the game in the bottom of the fourth, added a run in the the sixth and scored what proved to be the game winner in the seventh. They put the game out of reach with a four-run eighth.
The Norse scored their final run in the top of the ninth. Scurr hit a double down the right field line. Two batters later
Zach Gwost drove in Scurr with a hard-hit infield single.
