DECORAH, Iowa - Raven Allen,
Connor Kidd and
Clayton McDonough have been named the March LetterWërks Athletes of the Month.
On the softball diamond, Allen and the softball team played 18 games in March. In 66 at bats she has had 28 hits for a .424 batting average. In her 28 hits she has recorded eight doubles, one triple and and one home run along with nine rbi.
Connor Kidd and
Clayton McDonough are co-athletes of the month. Both earned A-R-C all-conference and All-American honors at the conclusion of the wrestling season.
Kidd earned his first all-conference honor by finishing second at the NCAA III Region VI tournament wrestling at 133. At the NCAA championship in Providence, Rhode Island finishing eighth for his first All-American honors. He finished the season with a record of 22-14.
McDonough is a third time all-conference honoree after finishing third at the Region VI tournament at 157. He also finished eighth at the NCAA championship earning his second straight All-American honors. This season he finished with a 33-9 record and surpassed 100 career wins becoming the 18th in program history to do so.
The LetterWërks Athlete of the Month award looks to honor and highlight Luther student-athlete achievements throughout a given month of competition.
