DECORAH, Iowa – Luther College Athletics Director Renae Hartl announced that
Brittany Sisk, head volleyball coach, has resigned.
"It has been a privilege to lead this program over the last eight years," Sisk said. "We will always be grateful that Luther brought us to Decorah, a place we plan on calling home."
"I want to thank my colleagues for all of the support they have provided, and my coaching staff, for the countless hours they gave to this program. I also would like to thank our alumni and current student athletes for their dedication and for the lessons you have taught me along the way.
"I know this was a difficult decision for Brittany," Hartl said. "I want to thank her for her efforts and commitment to our student-athletes. We wish her and her family all the best in the years to come."
A search for the next volleyball head coach for the Norse begins immediately. Current assistant coaches
Arturo Diaz and
Ashley Christensen will oversee the team during the process to identify Sisk's successor.
As a member of the American Rivers Conference, Luther sponsors 21 varsity sport teams with women's wrestling set to begin next year. The Norse have won a combined 237 conference titles, 42 conference tournament titles, and have made 160 national tournament appearances.
