D3hoops.com announced the all-region teams with
Kailey Jones named to the third team all-region 9 team. There were 789 players nominated nationwide by sports information directors. This is the first all-region honoree for Luther since Moran Lonning in 2016.
Jones adds another accolade to her career and was recently named as a Jostens Trophy finalist. She is the second player in Luther's women's basketball program history to be named an all-conference honoree four times. Jones completed her senior year producing 424 points for an average of 15.7 per game, and collected 345 rebounds for an average of 12.8 per game. She shot 55.3 percent from the field and 82.3 percent from the free throw line. She was credited with 18 double-doubles increasing her career total to a school record 48.
She also became the first player in Luther history to score 1,000 points and collect 1,000 rebounds. She finished her career with 1,399 points that ranks fifth all-time and 1,144 rebounds that ranks first.
Players from these lists are eligible for the
D3hoops.com All-America teams. The teams will be released March 22, at the national championship game.
