INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Luther women's basketball team split the season series with Simpson College after a 88-83 loss in overtime. Kailey Jones recorded her fourth straight game with a double-double and 14th overall this season with 27 points and 13 rebounds. The Norse now sit fourth in the American Rivers Conference standings at 7-6 and 14-8 overall. 

The Strom led 43-38 at the break but the Norse rallied in the third quarter finishing on a 10-0 run for a 54-51 advantage with one quarter to play. In the final frame both teams battled back and forth. With under a minute remaining Simpson pulled ahead by two (71-69) but Jones and the Norse responded on the other end to tie the game. Nora Peterson took a chance with five seconds to go but the game went to overtime. 

In overtime, Simpson outscored Luther 17-12. This was the first overtime game of the season for the Norse. 

The Norse had three other players score double digits including Kate Hosking with 17 points, Natalie Beaver (14) and Haylie Strum (13). 

Simpson's Molly Lutmer scored 37 points in the contest as they moved to 12-10 overall and 8-5 in conference play.
