DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Luther men's basketball team lost to Loras 89-58 despite a career high 21 points from
Mikkel Schutte. The first half featured four lead changes and six ties before the Duhawks built their lead to 20 at halftime for a 48-28 advantage. Then in the second frame, Loras offense shot 50 percent from the field (16-32) to secure the victory.
The Duhawks led several categories including rebounds (38-24), points in the paint (38-26), points off turnovers (13-8) and points from the bench (21-6).
Aidan Bailey was 4-6 from the field for 12 points and
Will Bockenstedt recorded his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Loras is now 17-7 overall and 11-4 in the American Rivers Conference while Luther drops to 2-21 overall and 1-14 in conference action.
