DECORAH, Iowa – Haylie Strum,
Lexi Thomas and
Natalie Beaver posted double-figures as the Luther women's basketball team defeated Nebraska Wesleyan 73-54. The Norse improved to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the American Rivers Conference.
The Norse shot 50 percent from the floor (27-54) and 45.5 percent from beyond the arc (10-22). The game marked the best three-point percentage for Luther this season. Nebraska Wesleyan was held to a shooting percentage of 30.9 from the floor.
Sturm led the Norse scorers with 18 points and six assists. She has scored ten or more points in every game this season. Thomas followed with 17 points along and Beaver with 13.
Three players were tied with six rebounds including Thomas,
Abigail Panka and
Ellie McMann.
Anastyn Pettlon recorded 18 points for the Prairie Wolves.
This was the 20th win for Luther in the series against Nebraska Wesleyan in the all-time series dating back to 1994.
