LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Luther women's basketball team was defeated by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 83-60 in a non-conference game. The Norse had a 39-34 advantage at the break as they shot 53.6 percent from the floor (15-28) including 57.1 percent from beyond the arc (4-7). The Eagles flipped the script in the final two frames outscoring the Norse 49-21.
Natalie Beaver led the team with a double-double with 23 points 10 rebounds.
Haylie Strum followed with 22 points and team best five assists. The two players combined for 45 points.Â
UW-La Crosse lead the team rebound statistic 45-36. The Eagles bench scored 33 points. Leading the way for the Eagles was Madisyn Kilboten with 14 points.Â
The Norse are now 2-2 overall while the Eagles improve to 5-1.Â
Luther will take on the University of Northwestern (MN) on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 5:30 p.m. for their home opener.Â
