SAINT BONIFACIUS, Minn. — The Luther women's basketball team defeated Crown 74-65. The game had 10 lead changes and three ties. The Norse held a narrow 34-32 lead at the halftime but had a 26 point third quarter going 8-13 from the floor to pull away from the Polars. Luther out rebounded Crown 43-36.
Abigail Panka set a new career high with 23 points (8-13) and eight rebounds.
Haylie Strum and
Lexi Thomas also tallied double figures with 17 and 10 points respectively.
Crown was led by Avery Youngblood with 18 points.
The Norse improved to 2-1 overall while the Polars fell to 0-3.
Luther will take the court again on Saturday, Nov. 22 on the road at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with tipoff at 5 p.m. in La Crosse, Wis.
