DECORAH, Iowa — The Luther women's soccer team (4-6-1, 0-2-0 A-R-C) was defeated no. 18 nationally ranked Loras (10-0-1, 3-0-0 A-R-C) 5-0 on Wednesday. The Duhawks scored four goals in the first half followed by one in the second frame.
Katie Callahan of the Duhawks scored back-to-back goals in the 9th and 21st minutes. The Norse defense faced continued pressure as Loras added on to their total with goals from Emily Bowe and Ellie Vehovsky in the 38th and 43rd minute.
Lauren Frost scored the second half goal in the 69th minute.
Ava Stemler and
Kazi Hankee tried to put the Norse on the board late in the game but both wouldn't find the back of the net.
Loras remains unbeaten this season.
Luther heads on the road for their next American Rivers Conference game at Buena Vista on Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. in Storm Lake, Iowa.
