DECORAH, Iowa — The Luther women's soccer team (5-6-2, 1-2-1 A-R-C) battled to 0-0 draw with Central (6-4-2, 1-3-1 A-R-C). The Dutch out shot the Norse 15-1 in the second half as the Luther defense and
Elisabeth Queoff made big stops.
The first half, both teams were just about even. Luther led the shots category narrowly 6-5 and they had five corner kicks but it scoreless at the break.
Queoff made four saves in the second half including two critical punches with one hand over the goal. The Dutch took 15 shots but the Norse defense was a brick wall.
This was just the second tie for Luther this season.
Lauren Linkletter led the team with three shots.
On deck for the Norse a trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to take on Coe on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.
