CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Luther College (6-6-2, 2-2-1 A-R-C) secured a 1-0 victory over Coe College (2-9-4, 0-5-0 A-R-C) at Clark Field on Saturday.
Lauren Linkletter scored the game winning goal in the 83rd minute.
In the first half, the Norse took 10 shots and had six corner kicks but couldn't find the back of the net. The Kohawks goalie Lilly Monroe made eight saves and to keep the score at 0-0 at halftime.
Late in the second half,
Ava Stemler passed it forward to Linkletter who lobbed a long ball towards goal where it went over the head of Monroe and into the back of the net in the 83rd minute.
Linkletter leads the Norse with six goals this season. The Norse out shot the Kohawks 15-7.
Luther is back on the road at Simpson on Wednesday, Oct. 22 with kickoff at 5 p.m. in Indianola, Iowa.
