The Luther men's swimming and diving team traveled to St. Peter, Minn., and Gustavus Adolphus College for the season opener for both teams. The six-time defending Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MAIC) champions, defeated the Norse 195-101.
Kevin Kretz and
Samuel Schleicher led the Norse with two first place finishes each. Kretz was also edged out at the wall for a second place finish in the 100 freestyle.
Colin Halverson and
Amir Womack went one-two respectively in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.Â

The Norse divers will compete next at the UW-La Crosse Diving Invitational that will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, starting at 11 a.m.
Luther will begin its home dual meet schedule on Saturday, Nov. 1 when it will host Carleton College at 1 p.m.
