Men's Swimming and Diving Begins Dual Meet Schedule at Gustavus Adolphus

The Luther men's swimming and diving team traveled to St. Peter, Minn., and Gustavus Adolphus College for the season opener for both teams. The six-time defending Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MAIC) champions, defeated the Norse 195-101.

Kevin Kretz and Samuel Schleicher led the Norse with two first place finishes each. Kretz was also edged out at the wall for a second place finish in the 100 freestyle. Colin Halverson and Amir Womack went one-two respectively in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.

The Norse divers will compete next at the UW-La Crosse Diving Invitational that will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, starting at 11 a.m.

Luther will begin its home dual meet schedule on Saturday, Nov. 1 when it will host Carleton College at 1 p.m.
