DECORAH, Iowa – The Luther women's basketball team moved to 3-1 in the American Rivers Conference after a dominate performance to start the new year over Buena Vista. The Norse tied the single game record for 18 three-pointers made. The last time Luther scored 18 from beyond the arc was against the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Nov. 22, 2016. Luther shot 47.3 percent from the floor and 45.0 percent from the three-point line.
Lexi Thomas led the team with 17 points.
Haylie Strum and
Kailey Jones posted double-doubles. Strum had 15 points and 11 assists while Jones scored 15 points and tallied 14 rebounds.
Natalie Beaver tallied 14 points and
Nastya Cicala recorded 12.
Head coach
Amanda Bailey reached 100 career conference wins with the victory.
The Norse improve to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in the A-R-C. Buena Vista falls to 5-7 overall and 0-3 in the A-R-C.
