DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther women's basketball team dominated Nebraska Wesleyan 86-57 improving to 6-3 in the American Rivers Confernce (A-R-C). The Norse offense shot 48.5 percent from the floor (33-68) and the defense limited the Prairie Wolves to just 35 percent (21-60). Four players scored double digit scorers including
Natalie Beaver who tied her career high of 24 points,
Haylie Strum (21),
Kate Hosking (13) and
Kailey Jones (11).
The Norse won the battle of the boards 47-31 and scored 23 points off turnovers. Luther also had eight blocks in the contest with two from Sturm,
Kenlin Schmitt and
Kayla Will. Hosking and
Lexi Thomas each recorded one.
There were also 11 steals by the Norse with four from Strum and Jones and Beaver had three.
Nebraska Wesleyan is 1-17 overall and 0-9 in the A-R-C. They were led by Brynn Sebek with 18 points.
