WINONA, Minn. - In the final day of the Sugar Loaf Classic the Luther volleyball team lost to Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) in straight sets (18-25, 19-25, 21-25) and defeated Bethany Lutheran in five sets (25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 18-25, 15-10). Luther is now 3-4 overall.
Match 1: Luther 0, MSOE 3
Neither squad had a good hitting afternoon but the Raiders came out on top. The score was tied nine times and there were four lead changes in the second set.
Emily Hagen and
Sarina Stortz each recorded eight kills.
Match 2: Luther 3, Bethany Lutheran 2
This is the fourth fifth set the Luther volleyball team has played this year. During hte fifth set the Norse were in control the entire way. Stortz registered a double-double with 21 kills and 10 digs and
Emma Kowalczyk also had a double-double with 48 assists and 19 digs.
Kyah Olson-Sola set a new season high with 25 digs.
