DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther women's soccer team fell to Whitworth University 3-0 on Saturday. The Pirates scored one goal in the first half and two in the second to defeat the Norse. 

The Whitworth offensive threat started early. Elisabeth Queoff had to made her first save of the night in the third minute of play. The Pirates would score their first of the night The Pirates jumped on the board early in the 7th minute. The Norse had chances late but Whitworth held a 1-0 lead to halftime. 

Just a minutes into the second half, Luther would earn a corner kick. Ava Stemler crossed it perfectly into the box. The ball took several deflections as it looked like Megan Miller was going to sneak one through in the lower left corner but the Pirates goalie was on top of it. Whitworth scored two more times in the half with one in the 56th and 76th. 

Queoff had six saves. Miller led the team with three shots with two on frame. Paige Ross, and Lilly Kitundu recorded their appearances of the season. 

Luther is now 0-2-0 overall. Whitworth is 2-0-0.
