CLAREMONT, Calif – The Luther men's soccer team trailed after Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) scored in the 19th minute but Rául Ferrandez would net the equalizer in the 56th minute. The game ended in a draw in the first ever meeting between the two programs.
The Stags struck first in the 19
th minute and they would hold a 1-0 lead headed into halftime. CMS recorded nine shots in the first half but the Luther defense held strong.
The Norse would score the equalizer in the second half tying the game 1-1 in the 56th minute.
Javier Pastor Valls found Ferrandez who ripped inside the left post. The game would end in a draw.
Jack Bell made six saves in the game with five in the first half alone.
Francesco Mungari led the team with two shots.
Nels Mortenson would get his first career start while
Matthew Sale and Mungari made their first career appearances.
