REDLANDS, Calif. - The Luther men's soccer team lost their first game of the season to the University of Redlands 3-1 on Saturday. Luther is now 0-1-1 overall.
In the first half, the Bulldogs scored early in the 6th minute for a 1-0 lead at break.
Redlands found the back of the net two more times in the second half in the 49th and 56th minute. In the 84th, the Norse would get one back thanks to an own goal by the Bulldogs. However, Luther was still down two but couldn't get past the solid defense of Redlands.
The Bulldogs outshot the Norse 16-6 with an 11-2 advantage in shots on-goal.
Jack Bell made eight saves in goal and
Francesco Mungari and
Javier Pastor Valls each had two shots.
