The University of Wisconsin La Crosse handed Luther its second loss in a row this afternoon at Copeland Park, La Crosse, Wis. The Eagles posted four runs in the second, eight in the third and one in both the fifth and sixth frames en route to a 14-3 victory in seven innings. The Norse committed five errors that led to 10 unearned runs in this game.
Cullen Stamp was the lone Norse with a multiple hit effort going 2-for-4 with an rbi in the lead-off slot.
Peyton Lindmark and
Cameron Gallt were also credited with an rbi.
The Norse used four pitchers.
Charles Running got the start and pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed five runs on 12 hits.
CJ Boudreaux,
Josh Stratton and
Evan Nordquist combined for one run on one hit and struck out four.
The loss gives Luther an overall record of 15-9. La Crosse improved to 14-4.
Luther returns to A-R-C action this Friday and Saturday, April 12-13 when it will travel to Wartburg College for a three-game series. Friday's game will begin at 6 p.m., while Saturday's double header will begin at 1 p.m.
