Tucson, Arizona - Luther faced Macalester College for a double header this afternoon and swept the Scots 9-3, 11-5. Both games were seven inning contests. The two wins increased Luther's win streak to three, and its overall record of 9-4.

Game One: Luther 9, Macalester 3

The Norse scored nine runs on 14 hits. Mark Prince led the offensive attack going 2-for-5 with three rbi. Prince hit a solo home run in the first and drove in two more runs with a double in the seventh.

Gabe Atkins and Cameron Gallt were both 2-for-4 and were credited with two rbi. Gavin Scurr and Will Heithoff both drove in one run.

Harry Blum (4-0) pitched the first five innings and allowed three runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out seven en route to the win.

Blake Jondle closed the game allowing one hit and striking out two in the final two frames.

Game Two: Luther 11, Macalester 5

Luther scored in every inning except the first en route to the victory in the nightcap. The Norse scored three in both the second and fourth frames, two in the third and fifth innings, and one in the sixth.

Peyton Lindmark led a Norse attack that tallied 11 hits. Lindmark hit a two-run home run in the fourth and had a sacrifice fly to center field in the fifth en route to three rbi.

Noah Pinette was 2-for-3 with two rbi, while Noah Kindem was 3-for-4 and one rbi. Cullen Stamp, Anthony Esposito, and Tyrus Werner were also credited with one rbi.

CJ Boudreaux (1-1), was credited with the win in a relief effort. Boudreaux allowed one run on three hits, walked three and struck out two, in three innings of work.
