Luther secured its opening weekend series with Carleton College posting a 5-2 victory in game two this afternoon.
The Norse trailed the Knights 1-0 entering the bottom of the fourth, when
Mark Prince hit a grand slam home run over the left center field fence.
Noah Kindem drove in the final run with a double in the sixth. Prince and Josh Matanich both had multiple hit games, producing four of the Norse six hits.
Kaleb Thiesse was credited with the win in relief. Thiesse took over in the fourth frame and allowed one run on two hits and struck out three.

Tomorrow, the Norse will return to action when they will travel to Winona, Minn., to face St. Mary's University. This one, nine inning game will begin at 1:30 p.m.
