Women's Basketball Defeated By No. 2 Wartburg

DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther women's basketball was defeated by No. 2 Wartburg 78-62 in the American Rivers Conference home opener. The Knights went 15-31 from the floor in the first half and 9-15 from beyond the arc for a 44-27 lead at halftime. Luther responded in the second half it wouldn't be enough to make a come back. The Norse drop to 4-1 overall and 0-1 in the A-R-C while the Knights improve to 6-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Natalie Beaver led the team with 20 points and eight rebounds. 

Haylie Strum had 16 points and team-leading six assists. Kate Hosking also chipped in 10 points. 

Wartburg scored 22 points off turnovers and 30 points in the pant.
