DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther men's soccer team rolled past Buena Vista 9-0 on Saturday. Six different players scored.
Javier Pastor Valls scored three goals for a hat trick. Raul Ferrandez,
Nels Mortenson,
Francesco Mungari,
Jorge Murillo and
Yves Muhire all had one. The defense limited the Beavers to just one shot in the contest. Luther improved their record to 4-3-4 overall and 2-0 in the American Rivers Conference.
Luther dominated the game scoring six goals in the first half which was highlighted by a hat trick from Pastor. This was his second hat trick of his career and his first since 2022. The Norse began their scoring run just one minute and 48 seconds into the game.
The Norse sent out a fresh set of players in the second half. Mungari recorded his sixth goal of the season in the 58th. Murillo scored his first goal of the season in the 60th minute. Muhire netted his first career goal in the 88th minute.

The Norse also honored 13 seniors. Jack Morrison,

Jack Bell and
Hernan Manzanet.
The Norse out shot the Beavers 26-1 with 17 shots on goal.
