PELLA, Iowa - The Luther volleyball team was defeated by Central 3-1(17-25, 25-19, 22-25, 17-25) on Friday.
Sarina Stortz set a new season and career high 27 kills in the match. The Norse are now 4-14 overall and 0-2 in the American Rivers Conference.
The Norse won the second set in part to the offense hitting .353.
In the fourth set,
Annika Franzen pulled Luther within one down 13-14. Central rattled off a six point run which in turn helped them win the match in four sets.
Emma Kowalczyk had 39 assists and
Kyah Olson-Sola led the defense with 18 digs.
Luther hit .220 in the match which was better than Central who hit .190.
The Dutch are now 14-5 overall and 1-0 in the A-R-C.
