Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer falls to St. Olaf

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – In a midweek matchup the Luther men's soccer team fell to St. Olaf 7-0. The Norse are 1-3-3 overall. They open the American Rivers Conference season with Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday.

Right from the get go the Norse defense was put to work. Jack Bell was forced to make an early save less than two minutes in. But an unlucky deflection put the Oles on the board first in the 8th minute. St. Olaf would add two more in the half taking a 3-0 lead at the break. Bell made six saves in the half.

Then in the second half, the Oles found their fourth goal of the day in the 53rd minute. A little later, Patrick Brognano had a shot that almost snuck into the lower left corner of the goal in the 64th minute. However, the Oles came up with the save.

St. Olaf added three more goals during the half to win the game 7-0. The defense did what they could as Kai Haroldson was in goal for the half. He was credited with two saves.
