Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer beaten by UW-Stout 1-0

DECORAH, Iowa. – The Luther women's soccer team was defeated by UW-Stout 1-0 on Saturday night. The Norse are now 1-3-3 on the season.

The Norse had a great chance in the 8th minute with Emma Lin's shot narrowly going over the crossbar in the game's first shot of the night. Luther continued to put the offensive pressure on in the first half with eight total shots but when the whistle blew for half it was 0-0.

In the second half, Luther kept the attack on but UW-Stout countered in the 72nd minute tearing down the field quickly. The Blue Devils scored in the 73rd minute as it just went over the head of Irelyn Baumberger.

With time on the clock running out the Norse were just looking to find an equalizer. But time and time again the Norse just missed or the ball took an unlucky deflection. Luther would get on final chance on the corner kick with just seconds on the clock but the Norse fell to UW-Stout 1-0.

Luther has one final tune-up game before the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) opener on September 23.
