DECORAH, Iowa – It was a 0-0 draw for the Luther men's soccer team in a midweek matchup with UW-Whitewater.
Jack Bell had six total saves including a penalty kick save to keep the Warhawks off the scoreboard. The Norse are now 0-2-3 overall.
The Norse were in control of the game throughout but over the course of the night it was the goalkeepers that kept their teams alive. After a scoreless forty-five the Norse were itching for a goal. However, Luther was unlucky as they had two shots hit off the post in the 56
th minute.
The clock ticked on as in the 85
th minute a foul was called on
Jack Bell as the official pointed to the penalty spot. The Warhawks player stepped up and the whistle blew but Bell guessed right coming up with the huge save. He had six total saves over the course of the night.
Tharles Nasciemento and
Bryan Islas-Aguirre had three shots.
