DECORAH, Iowa – The Luther women's soccer team tied with Grinnell 0-0 for their third tie of the season. The Norse out shot the Pioneers 10-6 with five on goal.
During the first half the two teams were about even on paper. Both took three shots, had two saves and while Grinnell had three corner kicks compared to the Luther's one neither team found the goal. The two saves credited to
Irelyn Baumberger.
Luther came out of the break focused on a new plan of attack. The Norse shad three shots in a span of 13 minutes but all were saved the Grinnell goalie. Later Luther continued to have good looks with the ball coming within inches of going in.
The Pioneers would take one less shot in the 85
th but it was fired right to
Elisabeth Queoff who made the save. Queoff had two total saves in the half. But this game ended in a 0-0 draw.
