PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Luther Men's Track and Field team sent five distance runners to compete in the 5000m run invitational. The five participating in the event were
Ian Kelly,
Lane Schwarz,
Benjamin Gillikin,
Kaeden Fellingham and
Adam Koller. Kelly recorded the best time for the Norse at 14:52.33 to finish 33
rd overall out of the field of 138.
LONG DISTANCE
Senior
Ian Kelly (Littleton, Colo. / Heritage) was the top finisher for the Luther with a time of 14:52.33 and he was second in his heat. Followed by junior
Adam Koller (Worthington, Minn. / Worthington) with a time of 15:13.77 to take 9
th in his heat. Then it was senior
Lane Schwarz (LeSuer, Minn. / Le Suer-Henderson) coming across the finish line with a time of 15:38.16 and he was 15
th in his heat. Junior
Kaeden Fellingham (Olathe, Kan. / Olathe South) recorded a time of 15:46.68 and 20
th in his heat along with his teammate Schwartz. And rounding out the five runners for Luther was sophomore
Benjamin Gillikin (Chester, NJ / West Morris Central) with a time of 15:55.56 and was 24
th in his heat.
TOP NORSE
- Ian Kelly (Littleton, Colo. / Heritage) led the pack of the five Norse distance runners competing in the field. His time finished second in his heat.
UP NEXT
Luther Track and Field will host the Norse Invite on Saturday, April 15
th at Legacy Field at Carlson Stadium in Decorah, Iowa. The day kicks off with the field events beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT with running events at approximately 1:00 p.m. CT.
