NEW ULM, Minn. - The Luther women's basketball team had a 27-point fourth quarter to secure a 65-59 win over Martin Luther College on Tuesday. Three Norse scored double-digits including
Haylie Strum (15),
Kailey Jones (13) and
Jordan Rubie (11). Luther is now 4-4 overall and 2-1 in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).
Midway through the first quarter, Luther pushed their lead to six points after a layup by Jones for a 9-3 lead. The Knights would proceed on an 8-6 run to pull to within two at 13-11 with 4 seconds left in the quarter. Martin Luther outscored Luther 16-8 in the second quarter to take a 27-21 lead at halftime.
Coming out of the break, the Norse began their second half surge outscoring the Knights 17-12 in the third frame and 27-20 in the fourth en route to their four win in a row.
The Norse scored 40 points in the paint, out rebounded the Knights 36-27, tallied 26 points of turnovers and the bench outscored the Knights bench 29-18.

- Sturm records her third straight game in double-digit points. She also led the team in steals with six.
- Jones had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
- Rubie scored 11 points.
