DECORAH, Iowa – The Luther women's basketball team extended their win streak to three with a 64-32 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday.
Haylie Strum recorded a double-double with 11 point and 10 rebounds. Luther is now 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).
Both teams had a slow start to the game with neither team scoring in the opening minutes. The Prairie Wolves were the first to score at 7:45 in the first quarter. Later the Norse got their first lead of the game with a three pointer from
Megan Miller. Luther then went on a 9-0 run building to a 12-2 advantage. At the end of the first the Norse were leading 14-7.
In the second quarter, Luther edged the Nebraska Wesleyan 8-7 for a 22-14 lead at halftime.
Luther dominated the second half by shooting 53 percent from the field, 46.2 percent from the arc and 60 percent from the line. The Norse scored 27 points in the final quarter of play to defeat the Prairie Wolves 64-32.
The Norse won the battle of the boards with 49 for the game. They scored 22 points on turnovers and 36 points came from the bench.

- Strum posted her first collegiate double-double of her career with 10 rebounds and 11 points. She also had 4 steals.
- Kailey Jones had 9 points and 7 rebounds.
- Amelia Solum had 7 points.
- Three players tallied 6 points including Lizzie Kauls, Miller, Kenlin Schmitt.
