DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther men's basketball team is back on track after a 55-46 win over Cornell College on Saturday. Leading scorers for the Norse were
Ben Gill with 17 and
Aidan Bailey with 15. With the win Luther is now 4-6 overall and 0-4 in the American Rivers Conference.
The Rams started on a 7-0 run before the Norse got their offense going. Luther then proceeded on an eleven point run to take over the lead for the first time in the first half at 11-7 with 13:53 to go. The rest of the half would see the score tied three times and four lead changes. Neither team could build their lead to larger than five. Gill hit a jump shot with just two seconds to go in the half to head into the locker room down 26-29.
Luther claimed the lead for good with 11:39 left in the contest after Bailey's three pointer at 36-34. Then the Norse lead would swell to twelve points after a layup from
Mikkel Schutte at 4:02. With 1:40 to go
Daniel Webster dished it to Gill who slammed it down with a dunk highlighting the Norse 55-46 victory.
Luther out rebounded Cornell 40-31 and had 11 assists as a team.

- Bailey scored 15 points and he was 4-8 from beyond the arc.
- Schutte recorded nine points with five rebounds.
- Webster led the team with eight rebounds.

After a few days of rest Luther will travel to San Antonio, Texas for the Leslie Robinson Holiday Classic hosted by Trinity University. The Norse will face the University of St. Thomas (TX) on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m.
