SAN ANTONIO, Texas - St. Thomas (TX) defeated the Luther men's basketball team 86-41 on Wednesday. The Celts shot 54.5% from the field and 58.1% from beyond the arc.
Daniel Webster led the team with 10 points. With the loss Luther is now 4-7 overall and 0-4 in the American Rivers Conference.
Webster knocked down a three-pointer on the opening possession for the Norse in the first half. But the Celts were just getting started. At 15:03
Randall Days tied the game at 10 with a layup. That would be the closest Luther would get for the rest of the game as the St. Thomas (TX) took off. The Norse struggled offensively but would string together a few points towards the end of the half from
Matthew Franzen and
Aidan Bailey. The Celts took a 40-18 lead at halftime.
St. Thomas (TX) continued their dominance in the second half shooting 57.1% from the field and 57.1% from beyond the arc. The Celts take care of the Norse 86-41.
Luther narrowly won the battle of the boards 34-33.
