DECORAH, IOWA – The Luther women's soccer team dropped its second straight game falling to Wartburg 2-1.
Emma Lin scored for the Norse in the 57
th minute. Luther is 5-6-1 overall and 1-2-1 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).
Following a scoreless opening half, The Knights struck first In the 54
th minute on a corner kick that turned into an own goal on the Norse. The ball was sent towards the goal and into the mass of players in the box where it was knocked into the back of the net for a Wartburg goal.
Three minutes later, the Norse leveled the match 1-1 when
Ava Stemler sent a through ball to
Emma Lin, who buried it into the back of the net.
The Knights sealed the 2-1 win following a Belle Dietrich goal in the 80
th minute. The victory gives the Knights an A-R-C mark of 3-1, 5-6-1 overall.
