Kaitlyn Bebensee used her head putting it into the back of the net for the go-ahead goal. Luther had a 2-1 lead as it went to half time. It was the first time Simpson had to play from behind all season.
In the second half, the Norse held onto the lead until the 71
st minute when the Storm leveled the game at 2-2. However, with just thirty seconds left Simpson found the game winning goal winning the game 3-2. Despite the loss, Luther is the first opponent to score multiple goals on Simpson in 2023.
