DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Luther volleyball team fell to Loras College in an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) matchup on Wednesday. The Duhawks won the match in four sets 21-25, 25-18, 20-25, 18-25.
Sarina Stortz led the Norse with 17 kills while
Kyah Olson-Sola recorded 19 digs.
Emma Kowalczyk had 35 assists and five kills.
The Duhawks won the first set 25-21. The Norse rallied back in the second set as they led the entire way. Luther picked up its largest lead of eight points at 16-8. Loras tried to push for a comeback but they couldn't get too far out of the deficit. Setter

Sarina Stortz who had four kills to close out the set 25-18.
During the third set, Loras dominated most of the set as Luther tried to keep tempo. The Norse had a late push but the Duhawks went up 2-1 in the match taking the set 25-20.
Luther was trying to extend the match to a fifth set. However, early in the set Loras went on a 9-1 run to go up 12-6. The Norse did their best to gain some points back with kills from
Zoe Verhey and Stortz but the Duhawks kept extending the lead. Loras won the match 3-1 with the final set ending 25-18.
Luther is now 7-18 overall and 1-6 in A-R-C.
