Women's Soccer Defeated by Loras 2-0

DECORAH, Iowa – The Luther women's soccer team lost to Loras College 2-0 on Wednesday night. The Norse defense held the Duhawks to a scoreless opening half. Loars scored both goals in the second half. Luther is 6-6-4 overall and 3-3-1 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).

The Norse defense held the Duhawks to a scoreless opening half. No other A-R-C opponent has managed to do so against Loras all season.

Then in the second half Ken Vavrichek stretched to make a save on the first shot attempt in the 73rd minute, but on the second shot the Duhawks scored.

Loras scored their second goal of the night in the 80th minute for the 2-0 win.

Vavrichek made four saves in the contest.
