STORM LAKE, IOWA – For the second game in a row the Luther women's soccer team scored four goals in route to a 4-0 shutout of Buena Vista. All the goals for the Norse came in the second half with three different goal scorers including
Lauren Linkletter,
Cassiah James, and
Maggie Haller. Luther is now 4-3-4 overall and 1-0-1 in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).
Just four minutes into the second half was all it took for Luther to crack open the game.
Lauren Linkletter scored her fourth goal of the season in the 49
th minute. It was also her third in a span of two games.
Then just five minutes later,
Ava Stemler recorded her first assist of her career sending it forward towards teammate Cassish James. The Norse doubled their lead within ten minutes in the 54
th minute.
Later
Maggie Haller scored twice in two minutes starting in the 78
th minute. She scored the game's final goal off a service in from
Kaitlyn Bebensee in 80
th.
The Norse defense held the Beavers to just a single shot attempt.
