MOUNT VERNON, IOWA – The Luther track and field team continued its indoor season at the Cornell Hilltop Invitational.
Steph Lewis (Ham Lake, Minn. / Blaine) claimed the top spot in the women's mile-run.
Brandon Deas (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Thomas B. Doherty) set a new career best time and new school record while finishing second in the 60-meter dash. The women's team finished 5th out 6 with 37 points and the men finished 6th with 25 points.

Brandon Deas (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Thomas B. Doherty) finished second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.02 setting a new career best time and fourth in the 200 with a time 23.86.
Tancrede Lefort (Golbey, France / St. Joseph) was 5th in the long jump for the Norse 5.83m (19' 1.5") and was 7th with 24.57 in the 200.
Tinashe Chisora (Harere, Zimbabwe / UWC-Waterford Kamhlaba) was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.79.
Benjamin Gillikin (Chester, N.J. / West Morris Central) was fifth in the mile-run (4:33.50).
For the women's team
Mya Ploor (Sturgeon Bay, Wis. / Sevastopol) finished second in pole vault with a height of 3.05m (10' 0").
Margaret Stucker (Roseville, Minn. / Roseville Area) was 6th in the weight throw 12.76m (41' 10") and 6th in shot put 10.70m (35' 1.25").
Payten Hardy (Menomonie, Wis. / Menomonie Senior) was 10th 11.63m (38' 2") in weight throw. Anna Elko (Horizon) was fifth in the high jump1.36m (4' 5.5") and she also finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10 seconds flat.
Zoe Rahberg (St. Paul, Minn. / Twin Cities Academy) was 6th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:10.96. Stephanie Lewis (Ham Lake, Minn. / Blaine) took the top spot in the mile-run with a time of 5:30.77.
Amara Marks (Urbandale, Iowa / Urbandale) was fifth in the 200 with a time of 28.92.
Penelope Hansen (St. Paul, Minn. / St. Paul Central) finished fifth in the 800 (2:46.27). Women's 4x200 relay team third with Elko, Marks,
Grace Davidson (Birmingham, Iowa / Van Buren County), and
Rose Sieve (Apple Valley, Minn. / Rosemount).

The Norse host the Luther Invitational on Saturday, February 4
th in the Robert and Ann Naslund Sports and Recreation Center in Decorah. Field events will begin at 11:00 a.m. CT and the running events begin at 12:30 p.m. CT.
