DECORAH, IOWA. – Sometimes you need a kick in the behind to get your head into the game. In the second half the Spartans got on the board first but a mere minute later the Norse answered for a 1 to 1 draw to open A-R-C play.
SECOND HALF ACTION

Turning to the second half both teams were looking for a goal but it was a matter of who would break it open first. The Spartans took advantage off a Norse player slipping on the grass as Abby Wiegand shot it high just fitting it in the top left corner in the 54
th minute. But Luther would answer right back in the 55
th minute with
Maggie Haller (Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle) feeding it in to the feet of
Sammie Sabin (Mendota Heights, Minn./Visitation) who put it away. That's went the weather changed as the wind kicked into high gear. The Norse had a chance to take a lead but the ball sailed just above the crossbar of the goal. The final in this one ended with both teams with one goal apiece.
